Curriculum

Our curriculum is individualised, personalised and has a real focus on improving literacy across the curriculum.

In Key Stage 3 priority is given to the core skills with more lessons in English and maths, though students are also given a broad experience of other subjects.  Our options programme for Key Stage 4 runs from Year 9, with a wide range of individual choice allowing flexibility and for some students to be fast-tracked.  Year 11 is also used as a springboard to Year 12, in preparation for AS and Level 3 Btec courses. Our students are given expert guidance to choose courses which raise their aspirations
and provide them with the best possible opportunities for success later in life.

At Key Stage 4 we offer the following GCSEs:

CORE: English, maths, science, PE

OPTIONS: ICT, music, drama, resistant materials, food, textiles, product design, applied business, computing, French, Spanish, geography, history, psychology, RE, sociology, dance, PE, art, photography, triple science
