Harris Academy Greenwich is a new build secondary school. In 2015, the school opened in its new main building for the first time. The new building gives the community some fantastic facilities to use. With various spaces, Schools Plus are here to hire the school facilities to the public, teams, classes, leagues, clubs and associations.

We have some first class sporting facilities including a brilliant floodlit 3G Astro turf area, football pitches ranging from mini soccer to open age football and a large sports hall for your various sports. There is also a great dance studio (air-conditioned) and a modern drama studio facility for those of an artistic nature. Of course being a school means there are a huge number of classrooms for you to hire for courses, meetings and private tuition. A dedicated meeting room and the sixth form room ideal for kids’ parties.

Our proximity to London means everyone can reach our school with ease, and did we mention our 100+ capacity car park facility? Suitable for your team, class and customer requirements.

Astro
A unique feature we can offer at Harris Academy Greenwich is our awesome Astro Turf Area. The 3G pitch is a fenced-in area, so is perfect for children as well as adults who wish to train and play on this all-weather pitch. The 3G pitch is in close proximity to the changing rooms so you can quickly change with ease. The all-weather pitch comes complete with seven-a-side and five-a-side markings, as well as seven-a-side goals!

The pitch offers complete floodlighting so easily used during the evenings, allowing you to keep on training throughout the evenings - summer or winter! On-site parking allows ample parking for your players or parents dropping of their children.

Sports Hall

The sports hall at Harris Academy Greenwich is a multi-purpose sports hall. Our hall has specially designed rubberised flooring. This makes using our sports hall so comfortable for every sport. The sports hall comes complete with markings for a wide variety of sports. For example, the hall is great for badminton, netball, football, and basketball… to name but a few! We can also cater for indoor cricket practise with the added feature of our cricket nets that make two cricket lanes and cricket flooring, making our hall perfect for indoor cricket or winter cricket practice.

The hall is also ideal for alternative activities like archery, martial arts, fencing, cheer-leading practice and fitness classes, as well as being suitable for the standard sports such as: indoor football, basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton and cricket.

Excellent changing rooms, toilet facilities and a free car park on site. The sports hall can also be used to compliment various competitions and tournaments.

The sports hall at Harris Academy Greenwich comes complete with:

  • 4 Badminton courts posts and nets
  • Netball post and court markings
  • Futsal pitch and goals
  • Basketball court with hoops attached to the ceiling

Main Hall


The main hall at Harris Academy Greenwich is a fantastically modern and bright space to hire to host your event. It is a brilliant and versatile area and suitable to use from large meetings and conferences, to theatre and music performances or large worship groups.

The main hall has a 250 capacity with a dining room just behind. This means that for any events you may wish to hold, you can break to eat your nibbles in comfort in a separate area and return to the hall. It is also in very close proximity to our standard and food technology classrooms, so it is in a perfect position to allow you to spill into smaller groups for meeting if hosting a conference.

The main hall has an overlooking balcony. This is perfect for filming your event or even adding a few more chairs for extra capacity and comes complete with an awesome video wall so you can screen your film for everyone to see.

 

Sports Field

Harris Academy Greenwich has a fantastically large field, which means we have a whole array of football pitches to choose from. We have two adult pitches and four youth football pitches that are suitable for 9 and 11 aside football.

With on-site parking this is a great place to make this your home ground to practise or play matches Saturday or Sunday, and with the Astro you can train midweek!

We offer free parking on-site for all of our customers, so you don’t need to spend hours looking for a parking space in South East London.

Drama Studio

Theatre is very popular at Harris Academy Greenwich echoed by our first class drama studio. Perfect for the smaller, intimate productions and rehearsals, a great space for those budding Thespians to practise. Come for a viewing and see if its adequate for your needs.

Not only is the drama studio an awesome space for drama groups, but it is also a great facility for medium size meetings and conferences. With capacity of 50, it is spacious and is complete with a stage so your patrons can watch you with ease.

 

Dance Studio

The Dance Studio at Harris Academy Greenwich is a self-contained block with toilet facilities. The Dance Studio is a versatile gymnasium space designed specifically for dance and fitness in mind. Along one wall are floor to ceiling mirrors giving you a professional space to work, teach and practise. The space is also fully air conditioned so for fitness classes it is a perfect facility to ensure you keep cool whilst working out. We also have changing rooms in the block as well.

SOME IDEAL ACTIVITIES include: Fitness Classes, Dance Classes, Martial Arts and a lot more!
 

Classrooms

Harris Academy Greenwich allows you to hire modern classrooms located in excellent surroundings to cater for your needs. The classrooms can offer a private and peaceful area that is perfect for events like meetings, tuition, courses and team building. The school has bright, airy and modern classrooms that give a refreshing and uplifting feel as you walk in to ensure a stimulating environment. Available at affordable hourly rates, room capacities range from 15-40 and come complete with whiteboards and interactive whiteboards. All the classrooms can be arranged in a way that suits you. They are also a great run-off area for events using our great main hall!

 

Meeting Room 

Harris Academy Greenwich allows you to hire the meeting room for your club, league, association and meetings. The meeting room is an ideal place to host your meetings, seating 12 people at the table. The meeting room is bright and modern so offers a stimulating environment. It is completely private and, as such, ensures you have privacy and peace for your meeting. Use of our interactive whiteboards allows for professional presentations if required.



MUGA

Schools Plus at Harris Academy Greenwich are excited to offer the MUGA for outdoor activities, which is perfect for a variety of sports. The MUGA comes complete with markings for basketball, netball and five-a-side football, as well as basketball posts. The MUGA can be used in almost all weather conditions and therefore makes a great area for training and even matches. Or even outdoors boot-camps.

 

Dining Hall

Our dining room is a versatile space that comes complete with tables and chairs. The dining room offers a modern and large area to host meetings and large events or just a great space to use for you teas and coffee when using the Main Hall for you conferences and seminars.

Backing onto the main hall, the dining room is the perfect accompaniment space along with the Main Hall to use to offer your people refreshments without having to be relocated elsewhere. With space for over 100 people, it is an awesome area for many events.


Sixth Form Room 

 

A spacious room ideal for your kid's party a room that can cater for 60 people, being a combination of kids and adults. It is an ideal place to hold Johnny or Jenny’s 5th birthday party, with ample space for you to set up and arrange. Available with a sink supplying hot and cold water to make those drinks for the kids or cups of tea for those waiting mums and dads.
