How to use the library

Picture4

·Choose your book. The library is organised by genre so come and have a browse.

·Check your chosen book out. If Mrs Butler (Librarian) is at her desk, bring the book to her. She will take your name and log the book on her system so she knows it is on loan.
She will stamp a date in the front of the book. This is the date it must be returned by. If Mrs Butler isn’t at her desk there is a sign out sheet on her desk. Write down your full name, book title and year group on the sheet.

·You can loan a book for up to 21 days. If you need it longer then let Mrs Butler know and she will renew your book loan for you. You do not have to keep a book for 21 days however. You can return it earlier.

·Returning a book is simple. If Mrs Butler is at her desk, hand it to her telling her you want to return it and tell her your name. If Mrs Butler isn’t at her desk, place the book in the red box on her desk called Library Book Returns.

·DO NOT PUT THEM BACK ON THE SHELF. If you don’t return them properly you will still show as having the book on loan.
·Even if your book is overdue please return it. Mrs Butler would sooner you bring them back than for you to never return them. She doesn’t bite!
