“What I value most about working at the academy is the strong culture of support, collaboration and high expectations for both staff and students.

Since joining as an ECT in 2021, the academy has consistently invested in my professional development through high-quality CPD, leadership opportunities and trust in my ability to take on responsibility, which has directly supported my progression to Head of Department. The academy is a positive place to work because staff are encouraged to reflect, innovate and strive for continuous improvement within a supportive and ambitious environment. As a result, I have grown significantly in confidence, leadership and strategic thinking, developing from a classroom teacher into a leader who contributes to whole-school improvement through assisting with senior leadership duties and supporting some of our most vulnerable students, which makes the work I do every day both purposeful and rewarding.”
