Harris Academy Greenwich is an exceptional school, recognised by Ofsted as Outstanding overall, with Outstanding judgements for quality of education, personal development, leadership and management, and sixth-form provision.

Inspectors found that pupils receive an education that is “rich in knowledge, complemented by excellent provision to support their personal development”. At the heart of the academy is a powerful culture of ambition, where leaders and staff work together to help every pupil “step into their greatness”. This vision is realised through a demanding, stimulating curriculum taught by teachers who are “experts in their subjects and well qualified”.

Ofsted praised the academy’s curriculum as exemplary, noting that leaders continually refine it to meet pupils’ needs and aspirations. Pupils acquire “deep, secure knowledge” and achieve consistently well across subjects. The curriculum remains broad throughout secondary school, with nearly 90% of pupils studying both a humanities subject and a language, ensuring wide future opportunities for all.

Pupils “enjoy school and feel safe”, benefiting from strong pastoral care alongside high academic expectations. Behaviour systems are clear and consistent, creating calm classrooms where learning thrives. Parents value how the academy combines “strong pastoral care with high expectations for academic achievement” and how staff understand each pupil as an individual.

Personal development is a standout strength. Pupils benefit from a rich programme of enrichment, careers education and experiences that develop them as “informed, responsible and tolerant citizens”. In the sixth form, students master their subjects “in great depth” and receive highly aspirational careers guidance.
