Keeping in Touch with Parents

At HAGR, we’re committed to open and supportive communication, working together with families to help every student succeed. Here are some of the main ways we stay connected with our school community.

Who to Contact

Your child’s Pastoral Manager is your first point of contact. They see your child almost every day.  In addition, your child’s Academic Head of Year also have a good overall understanding of your child’s academic progress, attendance, and wellbeing.

If your query relates to a specific subject, the relevant teacher or head of department would be the best point of contact.

You can get in touch with these key staff members by emailing info@harrisgreenwich.org.uk, and your message will be forwarded to the right person. Alternatively, you can call our main office on 0208 859 0133 and leave a message with our helpful reception team. We aim to respond to all emails and phone calls within 24-48 hours.

For serious concerns, such as safeguarding, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Progress Evenings

Progress Evenings take place at least once each academic year, for each year group.  They are an important opportunity for families and teachers to come together and celebrate students’ achievements, discuss progress, and plan next steps.

These meetings give you the chance to hear directly from your child’s teachers about how they are doing both academically and personally, as well as to share any insights or concerns from home. Working in partnership helps us ensure every student feels supported and challenged to reach their full potential.

Progress Reports

Your child will receive a progress report twice per year, and the content of each report will vary depending on the academic cycle and can include how your child performed in recent assessments or examinations, a review of their Attitude to Learning (behaviour and effort) in each subject, and how well they have learnt the curriculum.

Parents/carers are encouraged to discuss and compare each subject together as the report will provide an insight into their overall performance across the curriculum.
