We are proud to nurture a culture built around three core values: Work Hard. Be Kind. Take Responsibility. Our rewards system is designed to recognise, celebrate, and amplify the actions that bring these values to life every day.

Positive Points: Recognising the Everyday Wins

Every lesson, teachers award three positive behaviour points to three different students. This simple, consistent approach ensures rewards are fair, meaningful, and intentional.

Students earn points for:

• Genuine effort and focus
• Resilience and determination
• Acts of kindness
• Demonstrating our academy values in action

Our students love tracking their progress. Many check their totals daily, and a single moment of recognition can be the spark that boosts their confidence and motivates them to go even further.

Weekly Celebration in Assemblies

Each week, our Academic Heads of Year lead assemblies that shine a spotlight on the students achieving the highest behaviour points in their year group. These celebrations have quickly become a highlight of the week—students feel an enormous sense of pride when their name appears on the big screen.

This system is only possible because of the consistent effort of our teaching staff, whose recognition makes a real difference to students’ self-belief and sense of belonging.

Half-Termly Whole-Year Celebrations

Every half term, we bring the entire year group together for a larger celebration of achievement. During this event, students are awarded Subject Excellence Badges, recognising those who have worked exceptionally hard or demonstrated outstanding progress in specific subjects.

These badges are worn with pride and act as a visible reminder of students’ dedication and success across the curriculum.

What Students Are Working Towards

Our students have the opportunity to 'cash-in' their positive points every term. Rewards for positive points includes - trips with friends, sports equipment, vouchers and many more. Every half term students are also awarded badges for best in subject, most clubs attended, attendance to school, and Academic Head of Year awards. This takes place across every year group. 

A Culture That Grows Stronger Together

Every positive point tells a student, “What you’re doing is noticed. Keep going.” By consistently recognising the right behaviours, we are building a school culture where effort is celebrated, kindness is valued, and students feel proud of who they are becoming.
