Virtual Learning
At Harris Academy Greenwich, we are committed to delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to all our students, including those who may need to access their learning virtually.
DfE guidance is clear: Remote education should only ever be considered as a last resort where a decision has already been made that attendance at school is not possible, but pupils are able to continue learning. Circumstances where it might not be possible for pupils to receive in person education fit into 2 broad categories:
-
School closures or restrictions on attendance, where school access for pupils is restricted
-
Individual cases where a pupil is unable to attend school but is able to learn
So, while we firmly believe that nothing can replace the value of face-to-face teaching, our virtual learning is designed to ensure students continue to access key knowledge and skills across their subjects.
We encourage students to follow their normal school timetable as closely as possible. This helps maintain structure and ensures that each subject receives the attention it deserves. Where required, students should submit completed work via email to their subject teachers.
We hope this hub helps every student feel confident and supported in their learning journey.
