Our Post-16 Curriculum
The intent of our Post-16 Curriculum is to provide the right qualifications for students to access the most competitive universities and apprenticeships.

Our subject offer is broad with the aim of delivering excellent outcomes and skills that are the key to unlocking the next steps in life for our students.
-
We predominantly offer A-levels at our Sixth Form. We offer two vocational qualifications.
-
Most students will study a two-year course of three A-Levels, with the option of a fourth A-Level for those who meet the criteria.
- To study four A levels: Students must attain seven 9 - 7 grades including a 7 in Maths and English Language and Literature. Indivdual subject critera also applies
- To study three A levels/ Vocational Level 3 combination: Students must attain five 9 - 5 grades in full course GCSE subjects including Maths and English Language. No vocational subjects are allowed to count in the five 9 – 5 grades. Indivdual subject critera also applies. -
We also offer the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), worth the equivalent of an AS level. The EPQ often leads to lower university offers and provides students with a chance to pursue an independent project in a subject of their choosing. This helps develop research, thinking, writing, planning and self-management skills.
