EPQ (KS5 Extended Project Qualification)

Harris greenwich086 web

In Year 12, the Extended Project Qualification invites students to move beyond subject boundaries and become independent thinkers. They begin by shaping an idea rooted in personal curiosity, learning to plan, research and evaluate sources with academic integrity while managing a long-term project alongside their A-levels. Through note-taking, critical analysis, structured writing and careful project management, students learn to transform questions into coherent arguments and meaningful outcomes.

By Year 13, this journey culminates in confident presentation, reflective evaluation and the successful completion of a substantial independent project. Students demonstrate resilience, organisation and intellectual maturity, articulating how their research connects to future study, careers and lifelong learning. The EPQ therefore becomes more than a qualification—it is a bridge to higher education, professional scholarship and purposeful independence.
