Personal Development
We want students to thrive.
Our Personal Development curriculum is designed with a simple but ambitious aim: that every student leaves our school able to thrive. While examination results open important doors, we believe true success is measured by the character, confidence, knowledge, and resilience young people carry with them long after results day. Personal Development at Harris Greenwich therefore sits alongside academic learning as a carefully planned, equally valued journey—one that prepares students not just for their next step, but for life beyond the classroom.
Sequenced from Year 7 to Year 13, our curriculum is built around seven core pillars that cumulatively develop the whole child. Students grow in character, relationships, and health; they learn to shape their future and serve their community; they awaken their minds through curiosity and critical thinking; and they experience joy, challenge, and belonging through shared memories. Each year deepens and extends prior learning so that, over time, students become principled, informed, and socially responsible young adults—ready to contribute positively to society and to flourish in whatever path they choose.
